Crypto exchanges will help Turkey after the earthquake

Cryptocurrency companies and digital asset exchanges have pledged help to Turkey after the devastating earthquake. The disaster has claimed the lives of more than 6,200 people, and organizations and governments around the world are offering the country financial assistance and participation in rescue efforts. Representatives of the crypto industry did not stand aside.

Bitget help

As Bitget, we would like to inform you that we will be donating 1 million Turkish Lira (~$53,000) to show solidarity with the people affected by the earthquake in Turkey and to contribute to the relief efforts.

May the Lord have mercy on our citizens who died as a result of the earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmarash and was felt in the nearby cities; Our condolences to their families and our people, and we wish a speedy recovery to the injured.

Bitfinex help

Bitfinex have pledged 5 million lira to Turkey for humanitarian purposes. The companies said they would look for ways to continue supporting the country’s future recovery.

Binance help package

Binance promised that they would distribute $100 in BNB to exchange customers from the most affected areas of Turkey.

The company will be guided by the principle of Proof of Address when conducting KYC, noting that the method is inaccurate. The total amount of donations, according to the platform’s calculations, will be ~$5 million (94 million lira).

Binance Charity has also launched a public donation address for BTC, ETH, BNB, BUSD, and XRP.

Fund help from Huobi Global

Huobi Global, together with Tron, announced the creation of a fund in the amount of 2 million Turkish lira to support the victims.

Help from BitMEX

BitMEX said it will donate the weekly proceeds from the trading contest to the Turkish Red Crescent Foundation. The exchange called on all industry representatives who can support the organization to do so.

Donation from Bybit

Bybit will donate $100,000 to Turkey’s Emergency Management and Prevention Authority through its local division.


The terrible events that have taken place in Turkey cannot be ignored. The earthquake in Turkey claimed many lives. We mourn together with the inhabitants of this sunny country and wish strength to all those affected by this tragedy.
